H.Upmann Link to category is a German cigar manufacturer founded in 1844 by Hermann Upmann. The brand's two best-known shapes, the Magnum 46 and the Magnum 50, are representative of the brand's light to medium-bodied flavour. All shapes are completely handmade, tripa larga - completely handmade longfillers.
Hermann Upmann was a German banker who fell in love with Cuban cigars and went to Havana in 1844, where he worked as a banker and cigar maker for the rest of his life. His bank had to close soon after 1920, but his cigars remain as a good example of a light to medium-bodied Habano.
The filler and binder leaves from H.Upmann all come from the tobacco growing region of Vuelta Abajo.
Eleven gold medals from international exhibitions of the nineteenth century adorn the boxes in which the cigars are packed.
The brand's two best-known shapes, the Magnum 46 and the Magnum 50, launched in 2008, are representative of the brand's light to medium-bodied flavour. Other well-known shapes are the Sir Winston, the Connoisseur No.1 and, in the smaller sizes, the Corona Junior and the Half Corona, which were launched in 2011.
All moulds are completely handmade, tripa larga - completely handmade longfillers.
Light to medium-bodied taste.
