A humidor only works as well as the hygrometer does. If you want to check whether your hygrometer is giving accurate readings, you can do so with the help of this set. Simply place the hygrometer in the large bag of the set and leave it at room temperature for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the relative humidity inside will be 75%. If your hygrometer shows other values, adjust the hygrometer to 75%. The hygrometer is now calibrated and shows reliable values again.
